Some updates for the Azuki phone customization since yesterday's post! ✅ Changed lock screen background colour to match home screen background better. ✅ Carousel stacks for widgets on the first page. Now it swipes and showcases all Azuki ecosystem brands (Azuki, Anime(dot)com, Anime(dot)xyz, Beanz) for the medium widget, and a few NFT images for the small widget. ✅ Category/section dividers. ✅ Added Azuki ecosystem app icons that link to their respective websites. ✅ More icons. First order of business for Azuki August is a phone customization overhaul 🔥 It's honestly been something I've been wanting to do for awhile now, redesigning my entire phone UI in an Azuki theme, from wallpaper down to custom icons. AZUKI AUGUST ⛩️ It’s been awhile since I did creative stuff for the Azuki community just for the fun of it. Azuki played a huge part in my journey as a designer and artist in the web3 space, especially during the beginning part of it. I remember back when I started creating community edits and art, I didn’t even own an Azuki, I just really vibed with the brand aesthetics and what it stood for. I’d like to take this August to celebrate Azuki, a brand we’ve all come to love. I’ll be creating dope sh*t for the whole month of August (not daily tho so there’s no pressure 😂). We want to take a moment to show love and appreciation for one of the most passionate builders in the Garden: @369mf_ is a talented artist, 3D visionary, and true Caretaker — his @animecoin and Bobu creations are aesthetic af and deeply inspiring. After some unfortunate miscommunication, things got heavy. He stepped back, understandably, but his dedication to his craft and communities has always stood out. To honor his contributions and express our hope for healing, the 🅱️🅱️🅱️ group has picked up his Elemental and are gifting it back bc the Garden wouldn’t be the same without him ⛩️❤️

Some midnight thoughts, might delete later.. I may be speaking for all creatives in the Web3 space or it could just be me, but after being in the space for 4 years, it’s still sad whenever I see people expecting free work from creatives, whether it’s art or design. I’ve met a lot of artists that have entered Web3 and many of them are here to make a living. Not trying to be stereotypical, but a lot of creatives are not rich because most of them don’t have the knowledge or ability to make money, hence why they are specialized in the creative field. So it’s actually sad whenever I see people saying or having the mentality of “do it for the vibes” or “do it for the community”. As much as I’m sure most creatives would love to, the sad truth is that vibes can’t feed anyone. Not trying to throw shade at anyone, but if you promote that kind of mentality, then this is the kind of environment you’re building for people that actually need the money and are not financially able to keep doing free work. If you keep giving out freebies then obviously the market would rather go to you than pay someone for it. I’ve had many conversations in DMs go like “Yo do you wanna help us with ____?” and the moment I mention a price I get ghosted. Yes, there are times where we do edits and customs for free out of good will, but I just feel like it shouldn’t be the general “expectation” that we just do free shit all the time because we’re “part of the community”. If you truly respect our craft, then be willing to pay for it to support us. That being said, to everyone that has commissioned me for my work over the past 4 years, I appreciate you for valuing my craft and supporting me, it truly means a lot. I hope do that the space changes and does better for the sake of all creatives especially those that are struggling. Okay that’s it for the rant. Peace out.

One of the projects that always holds a special place in my heart and one of the founders that I have so much respect for. Dutch has never stopped creating and giving back to his holders since day 1, and the fact that he does majority of it on his own is mind blowing. Grateful to have had the opportunity to work on MB's rebrand 🙏

Currently working on a personal rebrand so I decided to compile all the logos I've done over the past 4 years in the Web3 space. While doing so I realised I've designed over 100 logos during this time! Not surprising that almost 50% of them came from the Azuki community which I'm super grateful for 🫶 To everyone that has worked with me on a logo for your brand, group or business, thank you for putting your trust in me and my work!
