RPCs: Welcome to DoubleZero! Starting today, RPC nodes are invited to join the DoubleZero network. Now things get interesting...
2/ Validators are @Solana’s backbone. And with ~40% of stakeweight now running through DoubleZero, a massive share of leader slots already land on DZ. That validator footprint has unlocked the next phase for the protocol: supporting the other half of the transaction path for RPC nodes.
3/ Why does this matter? Every transaction sent hits an RPC first. The RPC then forwards it into the cluster so a leader can pick it up. But right now, most RPC traffic still flows over the public internet, where latency, jitter, and congestion are unavoidable. RPCs connected to DoubleZero skip the open internet. Faster, more predictable, accelerated networking.
4/ When an RPC plugs into DoubleZero, transactions may gain: + Lower latency to leaders → faster inclusion + Higher landing rates, especially under load + Predictable performance (no public internet congestion) + Cleaner global routing (Asia ↔ US ↔ EU) + More consistent execution quality for HFTs + market makers (Validators are already seeing the performance boost.)
