Before Siri arrived in 2009 (first consumer app to use AI) there was R&D in pizzza making. My best friend was the first CTO on Wall Street. He turned on an early AI system before Siri, but management decided to turn it off despite it making a billion pretty quickly in trades. They were scared of it because no one understood how it worked and the risks were that if it could make a billion pretty quickly it could lose a billion even quicker. :-) My son wants to be a pizza man. I could see him running a shop with a bunch of robots making pizza. In Silicon Valley such a thing would be hugely popular.
